It has been a long time since rooms were that cheap.Now it is more along the lines of 80 bucks per night in US. I think when they named the hotel they didnot allow for inflation! :) And the cost of hotels in China will continue to rise, as the economy improves. The same thing has happened in Russia -- Moscow is now one of the most expensive cities in which to stay in a hotel.
Soon,Shanghai will be the same.
