Agnus Dei

"O Lamb of God,that takest away the sins of the world,

have mercy upon us."
In Oxford,there's a pub named "Lamb & Flag".The name is very common in Engliand and the symbol is so familiar to me.

Acutally lamb of God is one of the titles given to Jesus in the New Testament and consequently in the Christian tradition.

It refers to Jesus' role as a sacrificial lamb atoning for the sins

of man.
